Korea Siemens said on the 3rd that it released SRF 2.2, a next-generation automatic fire detection system with enhanced data-driven operations management and cybersecurity features, in Korea.
SRF 2.2 is a fire detection system that can be applied to commercial and industrial buildings such as office buildings, hospitals, data centers, and industrial facilities. It improves connectivity with digital environments such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and strengthens the user interface, maintenance, and cybersecurity features.
The system applies a high-performance central processing unit (CPU) module based on the Common Component Platform (CCP), Siemens' global standard software architecture. It is designed so functions can be expanded to match changes in the operating environment or system requirements.
The user interface (UI) was also improved. It features a 17-inch high-resolution liquid crystal display (LCD) that is improved over the previous model, and the screen layout and operation steps were simplified. Screen switching and touch response speeds were also increased.
In maintenance, the visualization of operating data was enhanced. It analyzes recurring events and patterns generated by the system to identify potential issues early. It uses hardware components that meet global standards and is designed to allow regular updates to the operating system (OS) and software.
Cybersecurity features were also expanded. It builds a separate secure environment for program transfer, and when a receiver door is opened, it sounds an alert and logs the event. User access rights are divided into three levels to restrict access to key settings.
A Secure Boot feature that blocks unauthorized software execution was also applied. When the system starts, it checks the integrity of the software to prevent the execution of unauthorized programs.
