Dassault Systèmes will acquire ArisGlobal, a life sciences artificial intelligence (AI) corporations, for up to $2 billion (about 2.8 trillion won).
Dassault Systèmes said on the 1st that it signed a final agreement on the 23rd (local time) in Vélizy-Villacoublay, France, to acquire ArisGlobal.
Upon closing of the transaction, Dassault Systèmes will pay about $1.8 billion in cash and, depending on whether AI-related revenue targets are met over the next few years, will pay up to an additional $200 million. The transaction was approved unanimously by the Dassault Systèmes board of directors.
ArisGlobal is an AI-based compliance platform corporations that supports patient safety management, regulatory submissions, and quality management for biopharmaceutical and medical device corporations. It has more than 200 clients, including half of the global top 50 biopharmaceutical corporations, as well as biotech corporations, medical device makers, contract research organizations (CROs), and health authorities.
More than 12 million patient safety reports are processed annually on the ArisGlobal platform. It has about 1,300 employees worldwide, and this year's revenue is expected to be about $175 million. Its core product, the "NavaX AI" platform, helps apply AI to real-world work in the highly regulated life sciences industry. According to the company, NavaX can automate complex tasks and improve data quality to boost productivity by more than 30%.
Through this acquisition, Dassault Systèmes plans to combine its capabilities built in new drug discovery, clinical trials, and manufacturing and quality management with ArisGlobal's regulatory operations and real-world evidence (RWE) management technology. The plan is to build an integrated AI platform that connects research data at the molecular level to clinical and patient data and treatment outcomes in actual medical settings.
The two companies plan to build a "continuous evidence loop system" that continuously accumulates and uses data across the entire process, from research and development of therapeutics to regulatory approval and post-market safety management. The goal is to shorten the new drug development timeline and improve the safety and operational efficiency of therapeutics.
Pascal Daloz, Dassault Systèmes chief executive officer (CEO) and chairman, said, "This acquisition is an important milestone for our vision to innovate the life sciences industry by consolidation molecules, patients, and treatment outcomes in real-world healthcare environments," adding, "By combining real-world evidence with Dassault Systèmes' modeling and simulation technology, we will help customers deliver safer and more innovative therapies to patients faster."
Aman Wasan, ArisGlobal CEO, said, "Through our combination with Dassault Systèmes, we can integrate fragmented data from research and development to regulatory operations," and added, "By blending ArisGlobal's AI technology with virtual twin and modeling and simulation capabilities, we will build a platform that continuously learns across the therapeutic lifecycle."
Dassault Systèmes projected that the ArisGlobal acquisition will contribute to revenue growth rate and earnings per share (EPS) improvement from the first year of completion. The acquisition will be funded entirely with cash on hand. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions including regulatory approvals.
