LG Electronics is expanding its push into Korea's mid- to low-priced PC market with the launch of the new laptop "LG Gram Book AI 2026." It features a 14-inch display, Intel's new processor, a battery that can last up to 30.5 hours, and a physical shutter for the webcam.
LG Electronics said on the 1st it will release the "LG Gram Book AI 2026" 14-inch (model 14U40V) on the 7th. The shipment price starts at 1.45 million won depending on specifications. It is the first in the Gram Book lineup to adopt a 14-inch screen. The exterior uses aluminum, and it weighs 1.29 kg and measures 14.9 mm thick.
The new model is equipped with the "2026 Intel Core Series 3 processor" (code name Wildcat Lake) and a 61.2 watt-hour (Wh) battery. It can be used for up to 30.5 hours on a single charge. It also supports a low-noise mode to reduce operating noise during document work or video viewing.
The operating system is Windows, allowing the use of PC software such as Microsoft (MS) Office and Hangul (HWP). The keyboard includes a dedicated key that launches Microsoft's generative artificial intelligence (AI) service Copilot.
It also includes a variety of ports such as HDMI, USB-A/USB-C, headphone, and wired LAN (RJ-45). With the preinstalled "LG Gram L.I.N.C," users can transfer files such as photos and videos by consolidating mobile devices like smartphones or tablets regardless of manufacturer. It also supports controlling connected mobile devices with the laptop's keyboard and touchpad.
The webcam has a physical shutter. After finishing a video conference or remote class, users can close the shutter to cover the camera, preventing unwanted recording or privacy exposure. Sales of the LG Gram Book AI 2026 begin on the 7th at LGE.com, the official online mall of LG Electronics, and on open markets.
It is also available by subscription. Subscribers can receive free after-sales service (A/S) for up to four years of the contract period. The monthly subscription fee remains unchanged even if parts prices or repair costs rise during the contract. Depending on the selected care service, the battery and keyboard can be replaced once free of charge during the subscription period.
