KT said on the 1st that it will revamp its flagship roaming plans, "Shared Roaming" and "All-day Roaming," to reflect the rise in overseas travel and a shift toward data-centered usage patterns.
It significantly increased the data allowance for "Shared Roaming," which lets family and friends share data. The 33,000 won plan goes from 4GB (gigabytes) to 5GB, the 44,000 won plan from 8GB to 10GB, and the 66,000 won plan from 12GB to 20GB.
It also launched a new "Shared Roaming 40GB (77,000 won)" plan for customers who need high-volume data.
It extended the roaming usage period as well. The usage period for the 33,000 won "Shared Roaming" plan and the 19,800 won "Y Shared Roaming" plan was extended from 15 days to 30 days.
It also expanded data benefits for the "All-day Roaming Basic/Plus" plans. The All-day Roaming Basic lineup increases daily data from 500MB (megabytes) to 1GB, and the All-day Roaming Plus lineup from 1GB to 2GB.
Along with this, KT offers various partnership benefits for roaming customers, including a 10,000 won discount at lounges in Incheon and Gimpo international airports and a Grab partnership discount for travelers to Southeast Asia.
