Salesforce, Inc. said on the 28th that it announced Claudeforce, which combines Salesforce, Inc.'s enterprise data, workflows, business logic, execution and governance with Anthropic's artificial intelligence (AI) model Claude.
The two companies will first roll out a plugin, Salesforce in Claude, preloaded with 37 sales functions. It enables users to prepare for meetings, review transaction progress, and analyze and update the sales pipeline inside Claude.
Claude displays customer accounts, the sales pipeline, and real-time data in a conversational interface based on corporate information stored in Salesforce, Inc. and Slack. When executing tasks, it applies the existing business rules and user permissions configured in Salesforce, Inc. as is. Once an administrator connects it, authentication and permissions can be managed centrally, eliminating the need for separate settings for each user.
This integration is implemented through AIforce, Salesforce, Inc.'s enterprise AI execution platform. AIforce uses a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, application programming interfaces (APIs), and command-line interface (CLI) tools to connect corporate data and workflows to various AI agents.
Claude will also be expanded across Salesforce, Inc.'s services. Claude powers Agentforce's Atlas reasoning engine and runs Agentforce Vibe and Agentforce Coworker. Corporations can select Claude in Agent Builder to develop their own AI agents.
Claude is provided within Salesforce, Inc.'s Trust Boundary security framework via Amazon Web Services (AWS)' Generative AI platform Amazon Bedrock. Salesforce, Inc. said this allows corporations in regulated industries to build industry- and task-specific AI without exposing data and AI workloads externally.
Integration with the collaboration platform Slack is also being strengthened. Claude serves as the base model for Slackbot and supports team decision-making based on conversations through Claude Tags. It will also be applied to the software development service Slack Code so multiple users can code with AI.
According to Salesforce, Inc., a Slackbot based on Claude delivered an annual productivity gain of 8.1 million hours in employees' work. The company plans to provide Claude Code and Claude Enterprise as AI work assistants to all developers and knowledge workers going forward.
Salesforce in Claude is currently in pilot with select customers and will launch as an open beta in Sep. Additional prebuilt skills will be rolled out sequentially in the second half of this year.
