SK shieldus said on the 28th that ADT Caps has strengthened its "AI reassurance care" service by combining the artificial intelligence (AI) technology applied to its home security service "Caps Home" with its nationwide security infrastructure.
Caps Home combines AI technology with ADT Caps' nationwide dispatch security infrastructure to provide everything from risk detection to response. When a situation occurs, ADT Caps' professional dispatch personnel check the scene and carry out necessary follow-up measures. It also said it provides a reassurance care system that connects risk detection, on-site response, and damage compensation in a one-stop manner.
The service also applies On-device AI technology. It analyzes recorded video data in real time on the device to quickly detect dangerous situations. AI functions such as facial recognition and loitering detection are also being continuously enhanced.
There are cases where actual dangerous situations were detected and addressed. The company said that during early morning hours, it detected someone repeatedly entering a door lock password at the front door, which led to a police report, and in a delivery theft case, it secured evidence through recorded footage and supported resolution of the damage.
About 130,000 households nationwide currently use Caps Home. Since launching the service in 2017, ADT Caps has advanced its system for detecting and responding to dangerous situations that occur in daily life based on accumulated operational experience and data.
ADT Caps plans to continue expanding the scope of reassurance care based on the AI technology applied to Caps Home. It will expand functions to include detecting abnormal signs for seniors living alone, safety management for infants and children, and reassurance services for single-person households.
