Okestro Group is applying artificial intelligence (AI) to companywide tasks such as customer incident response, corporate card settlement of account, and infrastructure operations to boost work productivity.
Okestro Group said on the 28th that it held the companywide AI competition "2026 Okestro AI Shift" on the 27th at its headquarters in Park One, Yeouido, Seoul. In the second edition of the event following last year, employees shared the results of business innovation achieved by applying AI to their day-to-day work.
This year's competition received a total of 27 projects across five areas: ◇ decision-making and analytics innovation ◇ collaboration and organizational culture innovation ◇ improved development productivity ◇ customer and service experience innovation ◇ work automation. Okestro Group evaluated factors such as the effectiveness of work improvement and the potential for internal rollout and selected 12 of them to advance to the finals.
The finals featured projects that automated tasks including an AI-based sales management system that integrates analysis of customer, market, and sales data, as well as customer incident root-cause analysis, corporate card settlement of account, in-house knowledge search, and Kubernetes (K8s) and infrastructure operations.
The customer incident root-cause analysis automation project cut the time required for initial cause identification from four hours to 30 minutes, a reduction of about 88%. The corporate card settlement of account automation project also shortened the time needed to review an average of 752 expenditure approvals per month and more than 22,000 receipts from 89.5 hours to 27 hours, a reduction of about 70%.
The AI agent supporting in-house knowledge search and K8s and infrastructure operations handled 4,822 technology and document-related queries and operational tasks on its own. The average response time was 17.55 seconds, and it is currently used by about one in five employees. It has also been applied to more than 20 K8s clusters.
Okestro Group is expanding the scope of AI use to companywide tasks not only in development and operations but also in sales, legal, finance, and project execution. For product development, the company said it applied an AI-based development methodology and confirmed productivity about 10.6 times higher than the traditional software development life cycle (SDLC) approach.
Okestro Group plans to expand the outstanding projects discovered in this competition to companywide tasks and reflect AI utilization know-how verified in the field in the advancement of its products and services.
Chair Kim Min-jun of Okestro Group said, "We must go beyond selectively using AI in certain organizations or tasks to embedding AI in the way all members work and dramatically boosting productivity," and added, "We will connect the AI capabilities accumulated in the field to product and service innovation to accelerate customers' artificial intelligence transformation (AX) and further strengthen our competitiveness in the AI infrastructure software market."
