LG Uplus said on the 27th that it ranked No. 1 in the mobile telecommunications institutional sector of the "2026 Digital Customer eXperience Index (DCXI)" led by the Korea Standards Association. Since the mobile telecommunications evaluation began in 2024, it has topped the list for three straight years.
The Digital Customer eXperience Index is an indicator that measures the overall experience consumers have when using products and services on corporations' online channels. LG Uplus said it received high marks for improving procedures and convenience around its integrated customer app "U+one."
On U+one, customers can handle tasks themselves such as checking and paying bills, changing plans, signing up for roaming, and using membership benefits. It also offers a family management function that handles children's bill payments, optional contract management, and loss reports on their behalf. The company plans to broaden the service so customers can manage parents' bills as well.
LG Uplus is also strengthening the "Plus" service that provides in-app benefits and content, expanding U+one from a simple customer center into a lifestyle platform. By introducing artificial intelligence (AI) search, chatbots and callbots, and counseling support features, it has also sped up information searches and responses to inquiries.
LG Uplus plans to upgrade AI search in the second half into an agent format to support not only information guidance but also actual task handling such as checking and paying bills. It will also expand movie reservations through the membership used directly in the app and personalized content.
