Hancom said on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Namyang Dairy Products for business cooperation on an agentic operating system (OS) project.
The two companies plan to apply Hancom's agentic OS under development to Namyang Dairy Products' real work environment and verify its efficiency gains through a proof of concept (PoC). The agentic OS is a platform that integrates and operates multiple artificial intelligence (AI) agents, corporations data, and work systems.
The PoC will proceed based on practical data and work procedures from Namyang Dairy Products' on-site departments. Hancom will design AI agents suited to Namyang Dairy Products' work environment to support repetitive and standardized tasks and verify ways to reduce processing time. Based on the PoC results, the two companies will specify applicable work areas and future collaboration directions. They plan to gradually expand the scope of the agentic OS starting with areas where effectiveness is confirmed.
Through this demonstration, Hancom will analyze how AI agents are applied to real work and their effects, and will advance the agentic OS and industry-specific agent models. The aim is to verify its potential use on manufacturing and distribution floors before the official launch.
Hancom has supplied AI solutions such as "Hancom Assistant" and "Hancompedia" to public agencies and public corporations including the National Assembly, Korea Western Power (KOWEPO), and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. Recently, it has been expanding its AI transformation (AX) business into the private manufacturing and distribution sectors, including collaboration with BGF Co.
Earlier, in May, Hancom announced at its future strategy briefing "Hancom: The Shift" that it would transition into a sovereign agentic OS corporations. It plans to roll out the beta and commercial versions of the agentic OS sequentially in the fourth quarter this year and move to target domestic and overseas markets.
