Physical AI corporations CarbonSix said on the 25th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with robot safety corporations SafeTics to mass-deploy physical AI in manufacturing sites.
The core of this collaboration is to build an integrated workflow that ties together, in a single stream, the stages from AI learning robot tasks to safety verification, regulatory compliance, and application on actual production lines. Based on this, the two corporations plan to create real-world cases of mass deployment of physical AI in manufacturing sites this year.
CarbonSix is developing SigmaKit, a robot standard kit that supports rapid learning and application of AI-based robot manipulation technology and unstructured robot tasks. SafeTics has technology that analyzes the movements of industrial robots and their work environments to verify safety and comply with industrial safety standards. The two corporations plan to concretize a safety verification system for applying AI-learned robot tasks to actual production lines by linking SigmaKit and SafeTics' safety verification technology.
In manufacturing sites, people and robots often work together, so the process of verifying safety is as important as AI performing new tasks. The two corporations aim to implement physical AI that can operate at the actual mass-production and commercialization stage by tying together unstructured process automation, safety analysis, regulatory compliance, and production line application.
A CarbonSix official said, "The competitiveness of physical AI lies not only in the technology to perform new tasks but also in how quickly and safely it can be applied to actual production lines," adding, "Together with SafeTics, we will create a mass-deployment case in manufacturing sites this year that verifies both performance and safety."
