KT will conduct recruitment for new college graduates from Aug. 25 to Sept. 7. The recruitment fields are ▲ NW infrastructure operations ▲ B2B consulting & sales ▲ B2C marketing & sales.
KT said, "The three fields we are recruiting for this time are roles that play a key part at KT's customer touchpoints and in the field of business, such as operating network infrastructure stably and identifying the needs of corporations and individual customers to provide optimal services," adding, "We plan to secure talent needed in the field in a stable manner and systematically raise understanding of customers and business and job expertise from the entry-level new-hire stage."
KT has significantly expanded the scale of this new college graduate recruitment to strengthen the talent base in key field areas.
In this recruitment, along with the expertise needed to perform each role, the ability to use artificial intelligence (AI) will also be reflected as a key evaluation factor. Depending on the characteristics of each role, the company plans to comprehensively assess applicants' ability to perform by focusing on the knowledge and problem-solving skills required in actual work.
In particular, rather than asking simple questions about AI technology, KT will present situations that could arise in the job context and focus on how AI is used in the process of solving them. This is because, as AI changes the overall methods and environment of work, the importance of the ability to use new technologies to solve problems and improve work is growing even within the same role.
During the selection process, KT will also look at ways of working and attitudes based on the core values it pursues. The aim is to select talent who think with the customer at the center, respect colleagues, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and execute boldly based on expertise.
KT's policy is not to judge applicants' capabilities by simple credentials alone. It will comprehensively consider the specifics of applicants' experiences—such as the situations they faced, the roles they took on, what they tried to solve problems, and what results they achieved—and the capabilities demonstrated in the process.
In addition, for new hires who are selected, KT plans to provide ongoing training and growth opportunities so they can, after joining, deepen their understanding of customers and business in the field and systematically build expertise in each role. Based on job expertise, it will also cultivate the ability to use AI at work, helping them grow into talent who independently solve on-site problems and drive work innovation.
Lee Seon-ju, executive vice president and head of KT's talent office, said, "In this recruitment, we will take a comprehensive look not only at the expertise needed to perform the job, but also at the ability to actually use AI at work," adding, "We look forward to strong interest from talent who understand the field and will grow into pros at an AX platform corporations based on their expertise."
Applications are accepted through the KT recruitment website, and details such as the recruitment fields and the screening schedule can also be found on the website.
