Samsung Electronics will unveil a gaming lineup spanning monitors, TVs, mobile devices, solid-state drives (SSD), and headsets at Gamescom 2026, the world's largest game show. During the event, it will also reveal the 2027 Odyssey gaming monitors and new portable SSDs.
Samsung Electronics said on the 25th that it will set up a 1,090-square-meter (about 330-pyeong) booth at Gamescom 2026, which opens on the 26th (local time) at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
The booth, under the theme "PlaySamsung," will feature four zones: the Odyssey zone, Galaxy zone, Gaming Hub zone, and T1 zone. Visitors will be able to experience games using Samsung Electronics products across PC, console, and mobile environments.
In the Odyssey zone, Samsung will display the world's first 6K gaming monitor, Odyssey G8; the Odyssey OLED G8, a 4K OLED monitor with up to a 240-hertz (Hz) refresh rate; and Odyssey 3D, which offers glasses-free 3D viewing.
Visitors can play Activision's "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4" and Pearl Abyss' "Crimson Desert" on Odyssey monitors. On Odyssey 3D, they can try "Cyberpunk 2077" and "Chronos: The New Dawn."
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4," "Crimson Desert," and "Cyberpunk 2077" feature HDR10+ Gaming technology, which adjusts brightness and contrast by scene to reproduce the creator's intended visuals. The high-performance SSD "9100 PRO" and the gaming headset "JBL Quantum 950" will also be on display.
In the Galaxy zone, Samsung will showcase the "Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra," "Galaxy S26 Ultra," "Galaxy Buds4 Pro," and new portable SSDs with a next-generation interface. Samsung Electronics has also newly applied an AI-based graphics technology, Neural Frame Fusion, to the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8. The AI generates pixels and frames in real time to cut power needed for graphics processing and run high-spec games more stably.
Visitors can play titles such as "Genshin Impact," "Asphalt Legends," and "Honor of Kings" on Galaxy devices. Samsung Electronics plans to work with game studios to expand the games and devices that support Neural Frame Fusion.
In the Gaming Hub zone, visitors can try Samsung Gaming Hub—which lets users play cloud games on TVs and monitors without a console or separate downloads—on the OLED TV S95H, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and JBL Quantum 650.
There will also be a dedicated space created in collaboration with the esports team T1, set up so visitors can experience the same gaming environment used by T1 players. Samsung Electronics has styled the entire booth after a Korean PC bang.
Samsung will run an experience program using its glasses-free 3D display, Spatial Signage. After a visitor selects one T1 player, including "Faker" Lee Sang-hyeok, the system renders a real-time 3D image that makes it look as if the visitor is standing with the player in front of the screen.
On the 27th and 28th, Samsung Electronics will host the #PlayGalaxy Cup World Final using the mobile game "PUBG Mobile" at its booth. Ten teams that advanced through global qualifiers will compete.
On the 27th, Samsung Electronics will also hold a prelaunch event for the 2027 Odyssey gaming monitors. On the same day, it will host a launch event for new portable SSDs. It also plans to run special matches featuring gaming influencers, a racing program, and SSD-focused talks.
Samsung.com sites for 22 major subsidiaries, including in Korea, Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, will run promotions linked to Gamescom. In Korea, from the 24th to Sept. 6, customers will receive discount coupons of up to 10% on eligible monitors, and those who buy a gaming monitor through the AI Subscription Club will get a three-month "Xbox Game Pass."
