Samsung Electronics has hinted at unveiling a new Galaxy S series device. The new product is believed to be the Fan Edition (FE) model of the Galaxy S26 series.
Samsung Electronics said on the 20th via its newsroom that it will unveil a new product in the Galaxy S26 series through the "Samsung Galaxy Event" at 9 p.m. on the 27th. Although the company did not directly disclose the product name, the device to be revealed that day is reported to be the Galaxy S26 FE. The FE is a product line that maintains key features and design of the flagship smartphone while adjusting some specifications to enhance price competitiveness.
In the invitation teaser image released the same day, a mint-colored tray arranged horizontally resembles the rear camera bump (island) of the Galaxy S series. On the tray, instead of camera lenses, there is a mug with ice in the shape of the Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI) logo. Although the Galaxy S26 FE is an entry model, this is interpreted as emphasizing its reinforced AI features.
According to previously leaked information, the Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED (AMOLED) 2X display supporting a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The cameras are said to include a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera on the back. The mobile application processor (AP) is Samsung Electronics' Exynos 2500, with specifications supporting 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The battery capacity is 4,900 mAh, the same as the previous model.
