Artificial intelligence (AI) startup Anthropic's annualized revenue increased 6.5 times in seven months.
Bloomberg reported on the 17th (local time), citing multiple sources, that Anthropic's annualized revenue as of July surpassed $65 billion (about 92 trillion won).
Given that its annualized revenue was about $10 billion at the end of last year, it rose to 6.5 times in seven months. Compared with $47 billion as of May, it also increased about 40% in two months.
Compared with rival OpenAI's estimated annualized revenue of about $40 billion, it is more than 60% higher.
Bloomberg earlier noted that Anthropic's second-quarter revenue surged more than 14 times from a year earlier, and adjusted operating profit turned positive for the first time since its founding.
Buoyed by the steep revenue growth, Anthropic's initial public offering (IPO), which it is pursuing with a target of this fall, is expected to gain momentum.
In June, Anthropic formalized its listing push by submitting confidential filings to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Anthropic's current corporate valuation is about $965 billion (about 1,370 trillion won). Some in the market expect its valuation to jump to over $2 trillion at listing.
