Samsung Electronics said on the 17th that it signed an official partnership with Activision Blizzard, Inc. for the new title "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4" and will step up its push into the global gaming market.
Samsung Electronics participated from the early stages of development and optimized its products—including TVs, monitors, soundbars, and Wi-Fi speakers—for the new title. The game supports a 32:9 super ultrawide aspect ratio, allowing Odyssey G9 users to enjoy the battlefield with a wider field of view. It also features HDR10+ Gaming technology to render colors and contrast in scenes with large brightness differences in detail. Set largely in Korea, the title is slated for release in Oct.
Hands-on events are also planned before release. Samsung Electronics will livestream Activision's showcase "Call of Duty: Next" on the Samsung Gaming Hub on the 21st. It will also provide PC codes to join the beta test running from the 21st to the 24th to 50,000 Hub users.
At Gamescom 2026, to be held in Cologne, Germany, from the 26th to the 30th, a hands-on zone using Odyssey monitors will be operated. Visitors to the venue will receive 500 "Vault Edition" game codes through a drawing and other promotions.
