SK hynix employees received an average salary of 144 million won per person in the first half of this year. The total salary paid to all employees topped 5 trillion won.
According to the semiannual report disclosed by SK hynix on the 14th, the number of employees stood at 36,150 as of the end of June this year. First-half salary aggregates were 5.0765 trillion won. The average length of service is 13.3 years.
There were 24,238 male employees, with an average salary per person of 157 million won. There were 11,912 female employees, who received an average of 118 million won. The employee count is based on headquarters employees excluding the chair and registered executives.
Kwak Noh-jung, CEO (president) of SK hynix, received a total of 26.095 billion won in the first half. That included 1.25 billion won in salary, 20.465 billion won in bonuses, and 4.379 billion won in stock option exercise gains.
SK hynix said it reflected record-high results of 97.1 trillion won in revenue and 47.2 trillion won in operating profit last year, as well as high bandwidth memory (HBM) business performance, in Kwak's bonus. Sample supply and mass-production system establishment for sixth-generation HBM (HBM4), expanded sales of fifth-generation HBM (HBM3E), and mass production of QLC NAND based on 321 layers were also included in the evaluation.
