Samsung Electronics increased the global market share of major products across the board in the first half of this year, taking about 40% of the overall DRAM market.
According to a semiannual report disclosed by Samsung Electronics on the 14th, the DRAM market share in the first half of this year was tallied at 39.4%, up 5.4 percentage points from 34.0% a year earlier. It marked the largest increase among all product lines.
The gain is attributed to sustained strong demand for AI Server Memory for servers and the added effect of higher average selling prices (ASP).
Smartphones captured a 22.0% share, helped by strong results from the Galaxy S26 series unveiled early this year. That was up 1.8 percentage points from 19.2% a year earlier.
TVs achieved a 30.6% share, up 1.5 percentage points from 29.1% a year earlier, as sales of premium products such as micro RGB and OLED TVs expanded.
Smartphone display panels rose from 43.3% to 46.5%, and digital cockpits increased from 12.8% to 13.9%.
As of the first half of this year, Samsung Electronics' top five customers were Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Hong Kong Techtronic, and Supreme Electronics (in alphabetical order).
