Kim Jeong-gyu, president (CEO) of SK Square, received 375 million won in compensation in the first half of this year.
According to SK Square's semiannual report disclosed on the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 14th, the company paid a total of 375 million won in salaries to full-time registered directors this year. During the same period, former president (CEO) Han Myeong-jin received no salary or bonus, but was paid 1.578 billion won in stock option exercise gains. Accordingly, it is understood that the entire amount of registered directors' salaries was received by President Kim, who was appointed CEO on Mar. in March.
President Kim's compensation fell short of the 500 million won threshold for individual disclosure, so the specific calculation method was not released. SK Square said it determines registered directors' annual pay by comprehensively considering the management environment and performance, job results, and assigned duties.
Former President Han served as SK Square's CEO from Aug. 2024 to March this year. From November last year until stepping down, Han served as CEO without pay.
The 1.578 billion won received by former President Han is the gain from exercising 2,846 stock options granted in 2021. It was calculated based on the difference between the exercise price of 50,276 won and the share price at the time of exercise of 605,000 won.
Meanwhile, SK Square's consolidation operating profit for the first half of this year was 27.5137 trillion won, and total shareholder return (TSR) was 361.6%, according to the disclosure. The operating profit reflected equity method gains in line with the performance of major affiliates.
