Samsung Electronics will secure an additional heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) manufacturing facility in India and step up efforts to tap the artificial intelligence (AI) data center market in India and the Asia-Pacific region.

Samsung Electronics said on the 13th that it held a completion ceremony on the 12th (local time) for FläktGroup's new HVAC production line in Pune, Maharashtra, India. In Pune, the company will produce air handling units (AHU), FläktGroup's flagship product, as well as fan wall units (FWU) and computer room air handlers (CRAH).

AHUs use chilled water to cool interior air and manage air quality in data centers and large commercial buildings. FWUs arrange multiple fans in a wall configuration to circulate air, while CRAHs precisely control server room temperature and airflow to maintain operating conditions for information technology (IT) equipment.

Samsung Electronics plans to increase HVAC supply in India and the Asia-Pacific region, where cooling demand is growing with the expansion of AI data centers. It will use the Pune production line to ramp up local manufacturing capacity and speed up responses to customers.
