Samsung SDS said on the 13th that its artificial intelligence (AI) collaboration solution Brity Works has been selected as the official collaboration tool for government ministries.
According to Samsung SDS, following the Ministry of Planning and Budget and the Ministry of Finance and Economy in April, a total of nine ministries, including the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources, the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL), the Financial Services Commission, and the Overseas Koreans Agency, have finalized the adoption of Brity Works. The ministries plan to roll out the service in phases through August.
Earlier, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced a plan to expand the Generative AI-based intelligent work management platform OnAI to more than 40 central government agencies by the second half of this year. Samsung SDS is supporting the government's AI administrative innovation by providing Brity Works as the official collaboration tool.
Brity Works offers a range of collaboration features including AI search, knowledge management, and document authoring assistance, as well as messenger, video conferencing, and file sharing. By applying Generative AI to work, it boosts civil servants' productivity and supports inter-ministry collaboration. On mobile, it also provides real-time reporting, approvals, participation in video conferences, and AI meeting minutes summaries.
Civil servants can use Brity Works to quickly find needed information from vast administrative data through AI search and handle follow-up tasks swiftly using automatically organized meeting minutes. Even while on business trips or working outside the office, they can continue their work without returning to the office, enhancing continuity and efficiency.
It is also equipped with a high level of security. Brity Works operates on a public-private partnership (PPP) cloud environment built on Samsung SDS's security technology and certified with the National Intelligence Service's highest security grade of "Sang," enabling central ministries and public institutions to use Generative AI in a secure environment.
Samsung SDS plans to continue advancing Brity Works in line with the government's expansion of AI work environments.
Song Hae-gu, head of the solutions division (vice president) at Samsung SDS, said, "With a total of nine central ministries selecting Brity Works as their official collaboration tool so far, its use in the public sector is entering full swing," adding, "We will strengthen integration with the OnAI mobile service to create a work environment where civil servants can work conveniently and safely anytime, anywhere, and we will actively support public-sector AX."
