Samsung Electronics said on the 11th that it will take part in Gamescom 2026, the world's largest game show, to be held in Cologne, Germany, from the 26th to the 30th, and will showcase an integrated gaming experience spanning PC, console, and mobile.
Gamescom is the world's largest game show, drawing about 360,000 visitors last year. This year, under the theme "Expect the Future," about 1,500 game content, software, and hardware corporations will participate.
Samsung Electronics is promoting the slogan "#PlaySamsung" and introducing a "full-stack gaming" environment that links mobile, PC, and console. In its booth, visitors can experience games across platforms through the world's first 6K gaming monitor Odyssey G8, the high-performance SSD 9100 PRO, and the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
The Odyssey G8 supports a dual mode that switches between 6K resolution/165Hz and 3K resolution/330Hz depending on the game genre. It also supports Nvidia G-SYNC compatibility and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to minimize screen tearing even in high-spec games.
Visitors can try Pearl Abyss's open-world action-adventure game "Crimson Desert" on the Odyssey G8. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra also let visitors enjoy a range of mobile games.
During the event, the world final of the global tournament "#PlayGalaxy Cup," leveraging Galaxy smartphones, will also take place. It will be held in the Battlegrounds Mobile category, featuring a special match with global game influencers and a final among 10 teams that advanced through regional qualifiers.
In addition, various interactive programs will run, including a cosplay catwalk that combines famous game competitions with hands-on experiences of Samsung Electronics products.
