POSCO DX said on the 10th it will run a social contribution project, "Dream Green," to support people with disabilities in video production and creator activities.
The project is a social contribution program carried out with POSCO Group employees' donations and the POSCO 1% Sharing Foundation's funds, in partnership with POSCO and the Korea Association for the Disabled, among others.
It provides education on YouTube content planning, filming and editing for people with disabilities and helps them showcase content produced through the training.
Marking its eighth year, the contest is open to anyone with a disability, and teams of up to four people can be formed with non-disabled participants. Entries can be submitted in the disability awareness improvement, everyday safety, and environment categories, and a special prize will be awarded for content using Generative AI.
This year, as interest in safety has grown across society, a new "safety" category was added to capture the perspectives of participants with disabilities on creating safer environments.
The contest deadline is Aug. 31. Outstanding content selected through screening will be honored at an awards ceremony in early Nov. with the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the Minister of Health and Welfare Award, the Minister of Environment Award, the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, the POSCO DX President's Award, the Korea National Park Service Chairman's Award, and others. Meanwhile, a total of 369 entries were submitted to last year's contest. POSCO DX expects many people with disabilities to participate again this year, as interest in one-person media and YouTube content continues to grow.
