FADU, a data center semiconductor specialist, is moving to secure system semiconductor talent to respond to the expanding artificial intelligence (AI) data center market. After turning a profit this year, the company is accelerating efforts to strengthen research and development (R&D) capabilities as it prepares to win new hyperscaler customers.
FADU said on the 10th it will hold an open junior talent recruitment for three roles: firmware development, firmware verification, and test engineers. The hiring scale is in the double digits. In addition to new bachelor's graduates, applicants with up to eight years of experience can apply, and embedded developers with experience in both hardware and software will be preferred.
Document submissions start the same day, followed by a coding test later this month and interviews in September. Final hires are scheduled to join in November.
FADU operates a performance-based evaluation and compensation system. Depending on results, the company offers early promotion opportunities and is implementing a PS (Profit Share) program that shares a portion of operating profit with employees.
FADU is a fabless company that develops SSD controllers, the core semiconductors for AI data center solid-state drives (SSDs). It currently supplies products to multiple global hyperscalers and expects orders from new hyperscaler customers to ramp up starting at the end of the year.
Results are improving quickly. Building on its first-quarter return to profit, FADU posted second-quarter revenue of 73.2 billion won and operating profit of 16.3 billion won. First-half cumulative revenue was 132.7 billion won, nearing the combined annual revenue of 2024 and 2025, and first-half operating profit reached about 24 billion won.
A FADU official said, "To strengthen our technological competitiveness in step with the growth of the AI data center market, we moved to secure top talent," adding, "New hires will be able to build world-class semiconductor development capabilities by collaborating with experts in the SSD field."
