Choi Soo-yeon, Naver's CEO, said on the morning of the 7th during a conference call on second-quarter results that "Nvidia is a partner that shares business risk."
Choi, regarding the artificial intelligence (AI) data center business being pursued through collaboration with Nvidia, said, "To solidify its partnership with Naver, Nvidia participated in our third-party paid-in capital increase, the first of its kind in Asia," adding, "This means the two companies have evolved beyond simple technical cooperation into a partnership that shares business risk."
Choi said, "We expect revenue to begin with the start of 55 MW (megawatts) operations in the first half of 2027," adding, "We will expand in phases to 100 MW by the end of 2027 and 200 MW in 2028, and ultimately build infrastructure at the GW (gigawatt) level." She added, "We plan to secure customers in advance through the Nvidia ecosystem and Naver's corporations and public-sector customers."
