ESTsecurity Corp., the security subsidiary of ESTsoft, said on the 7th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with AI semiconductor corporations FuriosaAI for "development of next-generation K-AI security solutions and technology cooperation."
Under the agreement, the two sides will combine core technologies and solutions to advance their products, and will pursue joint marketing and sales to take the lead in the AI security market. They also plan to expand business cooperation by jointly participating in domestic and international exhibitions and seminars.
In particular, they will push to apply FuriosaAI's second-generation AI inference accelerator "RNGD" and its software stack to ESTsecurity Corp.'s AI security solutions and a security-specialized small language model (sLLM) inference engine. The plan is to improve the performance and operational efficiency of AI security services.
The two sides are also participating together in the independent AI foundation model project consortium led by LG AI Research Institute. With this collaboration, they plan to expand synergy in the AI security infrastructure field as well.
ESTsecurity Corp. said it expects that, as demand for domestic AI infrastructure grows in areas where Data Sovereignty and security are critical, such as the public sector and finance, this collaboration will also contribute to building sovereign AI infrastructure in the AI security field.
Going forward, the two sides will run a joint working group to carry out product integration and performance verification, and will unveil jointly developed AI security technologies through domestic and international exhibitions and seminars.
Jung Sang-won, CEO of ESTsecurity Corp., said, "The two sides' collaboration, which will proceed in areas such as AI agentic EDR, will lay the foundation for the next-generation K-AI security ecosystem and serve as an opportunity to raise the capabilities of domestic AI security technologies to the next level," adding, "As a one-team for the independent AI foundation model project, we expect strong synergy between the two companies."
Baek Jun-ho, CEO of FuriosaAI, said, "As AI becomes a core technology in cybersecurity, the performance and efficiency of AI inference infrastructure are also becoming important," adding, "Together with ESTsecurity Corp., we will build AI security infrastructure optimized for the domestic environment and create a next-generation AI security platform for sovereign AI."
