Park Yun-young, KT chief executive, visited the KT Cloud Mokdong 2 Data Center in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, on the 6th to inspect the status of infrastructure operations and technology development for KT Group's artificial intelligence (AI) data centers and cloud.
Park encouraged employees performing data center operations that day and reviewed the infrastructure operation system while touring the integrated control center and key facilities. She also checked the status of data center interconnection (DCI) operations. DCI is a core technology that consolidates and handles the surge in traffic between data centers as AI services expand. Park asked the team to work to improve the quality and stability of AI services that customers experience based on DCI.
Park visited the "AI Innovation Center" inside the data center to review the development and verification status of next-generation AI data center technologies. There, the team is validating a range of solutions to improve power efficiency and operational stability in AI data centers, including D2C (Direct-to-Chip) liquid cooling, which was commercialized for the first time in Korea at the Gasan AI Data Center.
Park said, "KT's strength lies in its long-accumulated data center operation experience and technical know-how," and added, "Let's build this into differentiated competitiveness and join forces across the entire group so that KT Group's capabilities translate into customer value."
