Kakao Enterprise said on the 6th that it held an extraordinary shareholders meeting and a board meeting and newly appointed Lee Jae-han as CEO.
The company said the new CEO, with a deep understanding of technology, served as head of cloud infrastructure and digital transformation (DX) and as head of business, organically linking everything from strategy development to commercialization to drive Kakao Enterprise's growth.
Before joining Kakao Enterprise, the new CEO was a systems engineering leader at Kakao, responsible for the infrastructure architecture design and operations of KakaoTalk.
Lee plans to focus on steadily maintaining business continuity, led by Kakao Enterprise's core businesses of AI infrastructure and hybrid GPUaaS (GPU as a service), while further strengthening its leadership in AI transformation (AX) to build trust with corporate and institutional clients and lay the groundwork for sustainable growth.
Lee said, "In the new paradigm shaped by AI, AI data centers, cloud infrastructure, and AI platforms are becoming increasingly important, marking a major turning point," and added, "At such a critical time of change, we will do our best to lead AI transformation based on Kakao Enterprise's cloud expertise and technological capabilities and drive change across industries."
