Meta Korea said on the 4th that it will officially sponsor the Generative AI creation contest "AI festival with Meta," hosted by the Council for Digital Literacy (CDL).
The contest calls for AI-assisted creative works on the theme of family, and submissions are accepted from this month through October.
This contest is a private-sector cooperation program linked to the national project "National AI Competition," hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT with participation from public institutions and private companies.
The contest theme is family. Anyone 13 or older can participate with creative works about family, such as love, memories, and daily life. Formats may include poetry, short stories, webtoons, and videos.
To ensure ethical AI use, entrants must also submit the AI tools used to produce the work, the key prompts, the scope of AI use, and sources. Based on these, the judging will evaluate not only artistic merit but also the responsible use of AI.
The total prize pool is 20.6 million won. A total of 64 people will receive awards, including the grand prize (5 million won, 1 winner), the NIA award (2 million won, 1 winner), the Meta award (1 million won, 3 winners), and the CDL award (1 million won, 3 winners). Winners will be announced in November, and in December an awards ceremony will be held at the Meta Korea office with policy officials and partner organizations including the Korean Library Association.
