Raonsecure will build an authentication system that manages Jindo dogs' pedigrees with digital certificates.
Raonsecure said on the 3rd that it will take part in Jindo County's "Blockchain-based traditional companion dog pedigree certification management system construction project," which is being pursued after selection for the "2026 smart village distribution and expansion public offering project."
The project aims to shift the management of the natural monument Jindo dog's pedigree from paper certificates and individual databases to an integrated digital system, with service set to begin in Oct.
After issuance, paper pedigree certificates had limits in verifying authenticity in real time or tracking history during distribution. It was also difficult to ensure the reliability of pedigree information when animals were distributed outside official management networks.
When the service begins, a specialized institution will conduct DNA tests for each animal, and the verified pedigree information will be issued as a digital pedigree certificate using Raonsecure's Blockchain-based integrated identity and credential platform, "OmniOne Digital ID." After that, from birth and registration to placement, export, and post-management, each animal's life history will be linked as one. Information recorded on the Blockchain is hard to alter arbitrarily, preventing pedigree impersonation or illicit distribution of mixed-breed animals.
OmniOne Digital ID applies decentralized identity (DID) technology, which Raonsecure has used in the national mobile ID system and in digital identity projects in Indonesia and Costa Rica.
Raonsecure and Jindo County plan to use this project to advance the Jindo dog pedigree management system and raise brand value and placement credibility. Based on verified pedigrees, they will pursue premiumization while expanding the technology's application scope to other protected breeds.
Chief Executive Lee Jeong-ah of Raonsecure said, "Web3-based digital certification is a technology that, beyond people, consolidates the identity, qualifications, and histories of diverse subjects into trustworthy data," adding, "We will continue to advance the trust infrastructure that safely consolidates identity, qualifications, and histories across the public sector and industry."
