A drama produced by Naver Webtoon subsidiary Studio N won four awards at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, once again proving content production competitiveness based on webtoon and web novel intellectual property (IP).
Naver Webtoon said on the 2nd that Studio N's productions won a total of four awards at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards held on the 31st.
The drama "Becoming a Legend as a Military Cook" won three awards, including best work in the drama institutional sector, best supporting actor, and the OST popularity award. Also, actor Kim Jae-won from "Yumi's Cells Season 3" won best new actor.
Studio N produced the best work winner at the Blue Dragon Series Awards for the second consecutive year, following "Trauma Center" last year.
"Becoming a Legend as a Military Cook" garnered praise across both broadcast and over-the-top (OTT) platforms with a character-driven narrative set against a military backdrop. "Yumi's Cells Season 3" continued to prove the potential of season-based content built on a popular webtoon IP, securing a broad base of original fans and drama viewers.
Founded in 2018, Studio N is a specialized production company that expands Naver Webtoon and web novel IP into video content such as drama and film. It has showcased a wide range of titles, including "Sweet Home," "Bloodhounds," "Vigilante," "Trauma Center," "True Beauty," "Jeong Nyeon," "The Remarried Empress," and the film "My Daughter is a Zombie," building its capabilities in adapting IP for the screen.
Beyond video, it is also expanding IP into animation and live performance. The Studio N-produced animation "Letter from Yeon" was shortlisted this year for "Best Adaptation" at the Harvey Awards in the United States, earning recognition for its global competitiveness.
It also produced the musical "Yumi's Cells," adapted from a webtoon, creating a case of expanding a single IP into both screen and stage. The production has maintained strong box office momentum, earning a 9.9 rating on Ticketlink.
