LG Electronics will unveil its modular dwellings "Smart Cottage" through a home shopping channel in Korea for the first time.
LG Electronics said it will air a Smart Cottage launch broadcast on CJ OnStyle TV Home Shopping at 9:35 p.m. on the 2nd. Then at 9 p.m. on the 5th, it plans to introduce the interior of the Smart Cottage on display at Hyundai Premium Outlet in Gimpo, Gyeonggi, through CJ OnStyle's mobile live commerce "Bbeutina Living."
The broadcast will present a range of use cases targeting corporations (B2B), including not only first houses and second houses for general consumers but also corporate training centers, employee accommodations, and workation facilities.
Customers who purchase during the broadcast will receive benefits such as discounts off the sale price, free deck installation, and waived on-site inspection fees.
This is the first time modular dwellings are being sold on a home shopping channel in Korea. LG Electronics plans to expand consumer touchpoints through home shopping and broaden the base of the modular dwellings market.
LG Electronics released a new single-story model in the 20-pyeong range at the end of June and is holding an exhibition at Hyundai Premium Outlet in Gimpo through the end of this month. As of the end of last month, about 7,000 visitors had come to the exhibition hall, and there were many consultation inquiries from customers in their 50s and 60s, the company said.
As consultation demand has increased, LG Electronics has added dedicated consulting staff. During this home shopping broadcast as well, professional consulting staff will provide product explanations and consultations.
Smart Cottage is a premium modular dwelling that LG Electronics directly handles from design to production and quality inspection. Inside, it applies LG Electronics' latest AI appliances, a high-efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, an energy management solution, and an AI home platform.
The product lineup consists of the single-story "MONO" and the two-story "DUO," and operates with a total of eight models ranging from 8-pyeong to 24-pyeong types.
