Roblox said on the 30th that on the 28th (local time) it completely overhauled the app's main screen, rolling out new tabs such as "Moments," "Chat," and "Me" on the Roblox app home screen.
The "Moments" tab is a space for players who enjoy games. Users 16 and older who have completed age verification can get recommendations for games in their favorite genres and watch gameplay videos shared by friends and other users. Games featured in the videos can be launched immediately without a separate search.
The "Chat" tab lets users recommend games, make plans to play together, and jump straight into the same game. Roblox said it will soon support players in continuing conversations freely in and out of games without having to switch apps or devices or make separate plans. However, for users under age 9, the chat feature is disabled by default.
The existing "Avatar" tab is being revamped as the "Me" tab. Here, users can manage everything from profile edits to avatar styling, including outfits, accessories, and movement styles.
The newly introduced tabs will be rolled out first in select countries, including Canada, New Zealand, and Singapore, and will expand worldwide over the coming months.
