Panasonic Korea said on the 29th it released the EP-MAN2 massage chair, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze a user's bodily responses and body shape to adjust massage intensity and movements. It comes in two colors, ivory and warm gray. The retail price is 10.98 million won.
The new product features Real Pro AI, an AI-based massage technology. Sensors collect data on slight perspiration and electrical changes in the palms, as well as pressure from the massage rollers, to analyze muscle tightness and relaxation.
It also measures the positions of the shoulders, scapulae, and lower back to adjust massage points and pressure to the user's body type. According to Panasonic Korea, it supports a total of 6,136 massage point combinations. It is equipped with the SJ frame, which massages from the neck to the top of the thighs, and four massage rollers. The roller travel range is about 22% wider than previous products, and it protrudes forward up to 12.5 cm.
The backrest can be adjusted from 130 degrees to 170 degrees, and the footrest can be adjusted to the user's height within a range of about 16 cm. It also supports a touch panel, Bluetooth audio, and a USB port.
