Kakao Entertainment said on the 29th that Kakao Creative Foundation will hold the 20th Grow-up Talk & Talk on the 31st, an event where working writers share their creative experiences and real-world know-how with prospective creators.
Grow-up Talk & Talk is a free, in-person lecture program prepared by Kakao Entertainment and Kakao Creative Foundation to support prospective creators in the story content field. Starting with the first lecture in 2024, creators in webtoons, web novels, and music have shared the production process of their works and how to reach readers.
Three writers in the webtoon and web novel fields are scheduled to take part in this lecture. The first session will be led by webtoon writer Neida. Neida, who handled the storyboard and art for the romance-fantasy webtoon Ebony and worked on the storyboard for the fantasy webtoon SSS-Class Hunter Who Must Die to Live, will give a lecture on the theme "Ready-to-cook practical webtoon directing strategy meal kit."
The second session will be led by writer Kim Ji-a of the web novel Trapped on a Deserted Island With Male Leads. Under the theme "How to use minor material in the romance-fantasy genre," the session will cover everything from serialization design to boost views and continuous reading rates to the real-world know-how of a working writer.
The final session will be led by writer Park Tae-seok of the web novel Taming Master. Drawing on experience writing and planning numerous works, including Capitalist Streaming of a Rice-Eater Hero, Star Chef, With a Side of Regression, and The Returned Ranker Is a Genius Mentor, Park will lecture on the theme "Designing fun across male-oriented genres."
A Kakao Creative Foundation official said, "As this lecture is a venue where writers who are actively working in the webtoon and web novel fields directly share their creative experiences and know-how, it will be a meaningful opportunity for prospective creators who aspire to story content," adding, "We plan to continue preparing high-quality educational programs that provide practical help to prospective creators and support their growth."
