Artificial intelligence (AI) agent startup Liner said on the 28th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Samsung C&T's construction division for an agentic AI-based smart building business.
The goal is to integrate Liner's AI technology into Samsung C&T's commercial building platform "Bynd" to advance its services. The plan is to create a model that allows commercial real estate owners and tenant corporations to use space more conveniently and economically.
Bynd is a commercial smart building platform Samsung C&T unveiled in Oct. 2024, equipped with functions that cover overall building operations, including ◇ agentic AI-based space control and reporting ◇ 3D Digital Twin ◇ smart mobile access and parking ◇ cloud-based leasing and energy management. It connects administrators, building owners, and general users on a single platform.
The two companies plan to link Liner's AI search agent with Bynd's AI and Digital Twin infrastructure to promote a smart workplace innovation model and develop new services for potential customers, and they intend to officially launch the models derived in this process.
In particular, Liner expects that analyzing the vast building operations data accumulated by Bynd with Liner's deep reasoning technology could evolve into services that support decision-making by real estate owners and tenant corporations, such as automatic generation of building operations reports, evidence-based analysis for optimizing energy use, and support for establishing leasing strategies.
Kang Jeong-gu, head of AI strategy at Liner, said, "Based on the AI capabilities we have built in knowledge exploration, we will enhance the convenience and productivity of the spaces where people work."
