Samsung Electronics said on the 28th that a total of 16 products, including home appliances and smartphones, were selected for the "2026 Korea green product of the year," organized by the nonprofit civic group Green Purchasing Network.
Samsung Electronics set an industry record for the most awards, with 14 home appliance products and two mobile products selected. The company said products that applied AI-based energy-saving technology and high-efficiency designs received high marks from consumers and environmental experts.
In the home appliances category, a total of 14 products were named, including ▲EHS heat pump boiler ▲Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Gallery Pro ▲Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Pro wall-mount ▲Bespoke AI Combo ▲Bespoke AI One Body ▲Bespoke AI ice water purifier ▲Bespoke AI hybrid refrigerator ▲Bespoke AI kimchi refrigerator ▲Bespoke AI dishwasher ▲Bespoke AI Steam Ultra robot vacuum ▲Bespoke AI AirDresser ▲Bespoke AI induction ▲INFINITE Line hood-integrated induction ▲inverter dehumidifier.
Among them, "Bespoke AI WindFree Combo Pro wall-mount" and "Bespoke AI kimchi refrigerator" also won the "popularity award," chosen by consumer votes, taking two crowns.
"Korea green product of the year" is an eco-friendly product certification selected through a comprehensive evaluation of products' environmental performance and marketability by experts from 16 consumer and environmental groups nationwide and more than 300 consumer panelists.
Samsung Electronics said the award recognizes its capabilities in developing eco-friendly products, including AI-based energy-saving technology and the expanded use of recycled materials. It added that, as energy efficiency and eco-friendliness are emerging as key competitive advantages in the global home appliance and IT markets, product competitiveness that responds to ESG and carbon neutrality trends is expected to be strengthened.
