Codegate Security Forum said on the 27th that it will introduce a global fellowship, a key project to foster next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) white-hat hackers, at the opening ceremony of "Codegate 2026" on the 24th.
The global fellowship aims to go beyond security education focused on analyzing existing system vulnerabilities to train next-generation, converged security experts who can apply and use AI technology in real-world defense systems. Selected participants will receive scholarships and a variety of programs, including hands-on courses featuring top-tier security experts from Korea and abroad and networking with overseas security communities.
Hancom Group, the organizer of Codegate, will also actively support operation of the global fellowship. In addition to establishing scholarships, it plans to join the planning of education programs. Codegate Security Forum will finalize the detailed curriculum and recruit the first cohort on Sep. 1.
Hancom Group has Hancom Innostream, an AI-focused education company, as an affiliate. Hancom Innostream operates Korea's first and the world's fifth Nvidia Deep Learning Institute (DLI) authorized training center as an AI specialty education institution, with capabilities in AI, data, and Robotics.
Chair Lee Hyun-suk of Codegate Security Forum said, "As AI blurs the boundaries between defense and attack and fundamentally reshapes the security environment, what matters most is ultimately the people who will use and control this technology properly," adding, "Codegate will identify talented individuals and support them so they can grow into world-class AI security experts."
