Samsung Electronics said on the 27th it will begin preorders for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 starting on the 28th.
Photo sales run through Aug. 3. The official launch in Korea is Aug. 7.
Preorders for the new Galaxy Z series will be held online and offline, including nationwide Samsung Stores, Samsung.com and mobile carrier shops.
At 12:00 a.m. on the 28th, live commerce will run on Samsung.com, Coupang, Naver, 11Street and Gmarket.
Customers who preorder can receive and activate their devices starting Aug. 4, and after activation can apply for purchase benefits in the Samsung.com app.
Samsung Electronics will offer a "Double Storage" discount benefit that upgrades storage twofold to the 512GB model for customers who preorder the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 256GB (gigabytes) models. For buyers of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 512GB models, paying an additional 317,000 won will get them the 1TB (terabyte) storage model.
Samsung Electronics will also give 10% off coupons for the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9, usable in the Samsung.com app, and 30% off coupons for accessories such as cases. In addition, it will provide various content benefits including ▲ a six-month subscription to Google AI Pro ▲ a three-month subscription to Welaaa ▲ 11 Galaxy Store special game themes.
Samsung Electronics will also begin enrollment for the "New Galaxy AI Subscription Club" on the 28th alongside the preorder period. In addition to nationwide Samsung Stores and Samsung.com, customers can enroll when purchasing unlocked Galaxy Z series models at major online malls such as Coupang and Naver and at offline retailers such as E-MART, Hi-Mart and department stores. Members of the subscription club can receive benefits including ▲ residual value compensation of up to 50% when returning the device ▲ Samsung Care+ ▲ discounts on accessory packages.
Samsung Electronics will also begin preorders for the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 starting on the 28th. Devices can be received starting Aug. 4, and the official launch in Korea is Aug. 7.
Samsung Electronics will provide two 50% off coupons for exclusive bands usable on Samsung.com to customers who purchase the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 by Aug. 31. It will also give a six-month subscription to "TimeFlik Watchface" for free.
