Krafton said on the 22nd that "Overgeared Hero," a mobile roguelike collection-based strategy role-playing game (RPG) developed by its subsidiary 5minlab, has surpassed 1 million cumulative downloads.
Released on May, "Overgeared Hero" is a bag-based roguelike strategy RPG where combat power depends on how well items are equipped and arranged. Each turn, users buy items that appear randomly in the shop and can craft higher-tier gear by combining items of different rarities, sizes, and shapes. The key is that the combat method and outcome change depending on how the completed items are placed and combined within the limited bag space.
Once the bag setup is complete, battles proceed automatically. After checking the battle results, users adjust their item purchases, merges, and placement strategies for the next battle. Each round is designed to take about five minutes on average.
Park Moon-hyeong, CEO of 5minlab, said, "We will continue to deliver new content and events to provide lasting fun for users."
