Naver said on the 20th that starting today it will launch "Blogger grand discovery project, I have a blog," which newly shines a light on celebrities' blogs and the records in them that had not been widely known.
"I have a blog" is a project that introduces well-known figures who have consistently documented daily lives different from their familiar images on TV, on stage, or at stadiums, and bloggers who have built in-depth content in their fields such as food and the economy. Starting July 20, Naver will select one celebrity each week for 12 weeks to introduce why they started blogging, their key content, and new sides of them that can be found only on their blogs.
The first featured person is rapper Nucksal. In addition to music and TV work, Nucksal has consistently posted writings on a blog that capture daily life and thoughts, communicating with about 63,000 neighbors. Under the concept "Nucksal's gap," content created from Nucksal's perspective about acquaintances we might know has gained popularity. After rapper Nucksal, a wide range of figures will be unveiled each week, from well-known people who have frankly documented life off the stage and field to popular bloggers who have dug deeply into a single interest such as food or the economy. In particular, there will also be an event to guess in advance who will be featured the following week, letting users infer the next blogger from hints and enjoy waiting for the answer.
From July 20 to Oct. 11, an event will be held for users who add the bloggers introduced through this project as neighbors. Users can participate by adding a blogger featured in "I have a blog" as a neighbor, scraping the introduction post to their own blog, and leaving a verification comment. A drawing will award 3,000 Naver Pay points to 2,000 people who complete at least one mission and 5,000 points to 800 people who complete at least three missions.
Han Jun, who oversees the Naver UGC community, said, "Blogs contain as-yet-undiscovered, diverse content ranging from candid daily lives of well-known figures to deep records by creators who have explored a single interest for a long time," and added, "Through this project, bloggers who have been active steadily will meet more users, and users will gain opportunities to discover new blogs and tastes." Han continued, "Naver will continue to support the blog ecosystem in various ways so that new records and relationships can continue."
