Samsung Electronics said on the 19th it will supply more than 1,000 heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions to over 100 Islamic mosques in eight Saudi Arabian cities, including Riyadh and Rama.

Samsung Electronics will supply the round, ceiling-mounted system air conditioner "360 Cassette," taking into account the spatial characteristics of religious facilities. Considering the high and open structure of mosques, it sends cool air broadly and uses a low-noise design suitable for prayer spaces.

The 360 Cassette reduces airflow loss by using "Booster Fan" technology instead of directional blades. It sends cool air horizontally to evenly cool the entire space. The outdoor unit is designed to maintain cooling performance even when the outside temperature exceeds 50 degrees, considering Saudi Arabia's high-heat environment. A dedicated design reflecting Islamic traditional patterns is applied to the indoor unit panel.

Samsung Electronics signed a business agreement in June with Ghoroos Charity, which is promoting mosque renovation projects locally. Using this supply as a starting point, it plans to expand HVAC business for religious facilities in Saudi Arabia.

Samsung Electronics is also conducting business-to-business (B2B) projects targeting transportation and educational facilities in the Middle East. Last year, it supplied system air conditioners to public transportation facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it applied the Samsung building integration solution "b.IoT."

Vice President Lim Seong-taek of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Division said, "We will expand our Middle East B2B business with HVAC solutions that reflect regional environments and customer demand."
