LG Uplus said on the 19th it launched a subscription package that combines Kyobo Book Centre's e-book service Sam and the digital magazine service Moazine.
The new product is offered through LG Uplus' subscription platform Yoodok. Instead of subscribing to e-books and digital magazines separately, users can access both with a single pass. The monthly fee is 9,900 won, about 60% off the list price of 24,900 won. It will provide a 5,000-won discount coupon to subscribers through the end of Aug.
Sam offers about 800,000 e-books, as well as audiobooks, videos and academic papers. Moazine serves about 2,400 domestic and international digital magazines, including current affairs, economy and lifestyle. LG Uplus plans to expand bundled subscription products in cooperation with content providers.
Jo Yong-seong, LG Uplus' head of partnership business (senior managing director), said, "By offering e-books and magazines in a single subscription, we designed it so customers can use a wider range of content at a lower expense."
