KT has teamed up with global data analytics company Palantir to cultivate in-house specialists who will lead the corporations-use artificial intelligence transition (AX) business.
KT said on the 16th that it held an employee AI hackathon, "Agent Camp," at its Bundang office in Seongnam, Gyeonggi, from the 13th to the 15th. Participants identified problems arising in real work processes and directly designed and developed AI agents to solve them.
Three projects linked to KT's core businesses were presented as event tasks: network security monitoring, energy operations optimization, and data construction for using AI. Participants used Palantir's data integration platform "Foundry" and Generative AI platform "AIP" to achieve consolidation of dispersed data and implement AI agents that support business decision-making.
Forward Deployed Engineers (FDE) from Palantir also joined as mentors, supporting data architecture design and service application plans. FDEs are engineers who are deployed to customer sites to help solve problems based on technology and data.
KT aims to go beyond simple technical training through this event and secure practical capabilities in which on-site employees directly define problems and validate solutions. The company plans to expand related programs to cultivate talent capable of everything from data analysis to AI development and system construction and operations.
