ESTsoft said on the 16th that it opened the Jeju AI specialized joint training center to support AX (artificial intelligence transformation) for corporations in Jeju.
The Jeju AI specialized joint training center is part of the national human resources development consortium project promoted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor (MOEL) and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea (HRD Korea). ESTsoft plans to operate a regional hub training center that supports the AX transformation of small and medium-sized corporations in the province by leveraging the Jeju campus infrastructure and its own artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The AI specialized joint training center supports everything from AX competency diagnostics to training and dissemination for 41 partner corporations in the province. Jeju Halla University is jointly participating as the operator of the incumbent worker advancement program to provide hands-on training tailored to the needs of the industry site.
The opening ceremony was held on the 14th at the ESTsoft Jeju campus with many key officials from partner corporations in attendance, including CEO Jeong Sang-won of ESTsoft, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Gov. Wi Seong-gon, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Superintendent of Education Go Ui-sook, and Jeju Halla University President Kim Seong-hun.
At the time, ESTsoft announced a vision and operation plan to train about 300 AI practitioners every year through 2028, based on educational facilities equipped with classrooms, training equipment, dormitories, and a cafeteria.
The ESTsoft Jeju AI specialized joint training center plans to operate step-by-step training courses from basic AX training to general training for industry-specific value creation, hands-on build-type professional training, and corporation-embedded project-based learning (PBL) training, focusing on converged tourism content starting in the second half.
CEO Jeong Sang-won of ESTsoft said, "Based on our experience solving problems across various industries and service sites through AI technology, we will responsibly support corporations in Jeju so they can adopt AI more easily and create meaningful changes in their work," adding, "We hope the Jeju AI specialized joint training center becomes a practical hub that strengthens the competitiveness of Jeju's industries."
