ESTsoft said on the 14th that, at the group level, it will take part in the "Universal support for AI services for all citizens (Everyone's AI)" project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
The "Everyone's AI" project is a national initiative to help anyone in the country easily and conveniently use homegrown artificial intelligence (AI) services. The government plans to select corporations with AI service competitiveness and experience operating services for the public, and support GPU infrastructure and service operations. Through this, it aims to launch a free general-purpose AI chatbot within the year and discover and offer public AI agents and sector-specific specialized AI services.
ESTsoft will join the project by linking its own Generative AI services with group services. Based on the AI avatar-based Generative AI service "Perso AI," the agentic AI service "Alan," the utility software "ALTools," the security service "ALYac," and the portal "zum," the company plans to provide AI services for the public.
In particular, by combining the portal zum's experience operating search, news, and content services, run by group company ESTaid, with AI-based information retrieval technology, the company will implement an AI search agent service and also unveil services that integrate ALYac's security features with AI.
ESTsoft plans to leverage its user base of more than 30 million secured through ALTools, ALYac, and zum, along with its service operation experience, while also pursuing collaboration with AI startups and small and medium-sized corporations to invigorate Korea's AI ecosystem. The company said it is reviewing the formation of a consortium based on an open collaborative framework, rather than centered on a specific corporation.
