Google Cloud said on the 13th that it will introduce Gemini Enterprise for employees of Samsung Electronics' DX division worldwide, including Korea. It is the largest example in Korea of adopting agentic artificial intelligence (AI) for corporations that Google Cloud has pursued.
Gemini Enterprise is an enterprise AI platform that consolidates in-house data and work systems so employees can search and analyze the information they need and use it for their tasks. It goes beyond simple Q&A or document drafting assistance to focus on building and managing AI agents that perform multiple tasks in sequence.
Employees of Samsung Electronics' DX division will use the "Gemini Enterprise app" as a conversational workspace. It consolidates distributed in-house systems and knowledge data so they can search and synthesize complex information within the organization in real time.
The two companies plan to expand the introduction of custom AI agents tailored to various internal tasks at Samsung Electronics. Employees in nondevelopment teams such as human resources and marketing will be supported to create work agents using low-code and no-code methods. Developers can build and manage more complex multistep agents by using various AI models and development tools.
For example, AI agents can be designed to support repetitive tasks such as employee training and onboarding, checking internal regulations, and compliance reviews. In the long term, the goal is to build a companywide AI utilization framework in which not only developers but also general employees directly create work AI agents.
Security and data management systems will also be strengthened. Gemini Enterprise will be built in a Google Cloud tenant environment dedicated to Samsung Electronics' DX division. The explanation is that Samsung Electronics' sensitive data and work automation systems will be managed within a controlled area separated from external environments to meet data sovereignty and corporations' security requirements.
Ruth Sun, president of Google Cloud Korea, said, "Work innovation in the agentic era must move beyond simple productivity tools to a stage that raises intelligence across operations," and added, "Gemini Enterprise will be a secure foundation that accelerates Samsung Electronics' global work innovation."
