Lotte Innovate said on the 10th it will apply artificial intelligence (AI) technology to the smart farm platform "Green Farm in the City." The strategy is to speed up agriculture's AI transformation (AX) by using the Smart Farm Agent.
The "Smart Farm Agent," developed by Lotte Innovate based on large language model (LLM) technology, provides farm owners with the latest smart farm trends and the specialized know-how essential for cultivating crops. A company official said, "It is designed to allow even farm owners with limited experience to easily access expert knowledge."
Farm owners will be able to resolve a wide range of questions that arise during smart farm operations in real time and make fast, accurate decisions based on data. Through this, Lotte Innovate expects to improve the efficiency of farm management, maximize crop productivity, and deliver tangible results by reducing operating expense. They can also view materials analyzing crop market prices, enabling them to establish efficient cultivation and operation strategies.
Lotte Innovate previously developed vision AI technology that boosts productivity through AI models for crop growth prediction and pest and disease monitoring. The company plans to further advance these AI-based agent technologies and expand related businesses in the form of software as a service (SaaS).
A Lotte Innovate official said, "We will enhance the service through continuous data accumulation to improve service accuracy and customer convenience," adding, "We will lead innovation in smart farm management through AI technology and make a major contribution to securing the future competitiveness of agriculture."
