Dassault Systèmes said on the 10th that its subsidiary Centric Software will supply its product lifecycle management (PLM) software "Centric PLM" to major consumer goods and retail corporations including France's luxury group LVMH, Carrefour and Walmart.
Centric Software provides an integrated artificial intelligence (AI)-based enterprise solution that supports the entire process from product design to commercialization. More than 2,900 clients in over 65 countries worldwide currently use Centric solutions for product planning, design, development, sourcing, regulatory compliance, procurement, production and pricing.
Major clients include LVMH, Carrefour, Walmart, Magnum Ice Cream Company, J.M. Smucker, Rituals, Robertet, The Body Shop), Hugo Boss, Levi's and Tsingtao. Over the past five years, Centric Software's consumer goods and retail client base has grown 120% to around 100 companies.
According to Dassault Systèmes, major clients using Centric Software's PLM solution shortened product development cycles by up to 38% and saw sales of new products increase by up to 10%. They also achieved results such as reducing regulatory analysis time by up to 90% and cutting the product cost estimation process time by up to 50%.
