Piolink said on the 9th it was finally chosen as the Honam-region supplier for the "2026 ICT small and medium-sized enterprises information security support program," overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA). Piolink formed a consortium with NPcore, SGA Solutions, and Onaepeople to support strengthening information security capabilities for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Honam region.
The ICT small and medium-sized enterprises information security support program is a government initiative designed to raise the information security level of small and medium-sized enterprises that lack security personnel and investment capacity. It supports information security consulting, IT security packages, and the adoption of cloud-based security services (SECaaS), with a focus on corporations in areas affected by security incidents and corporations related to regional strategic industries.
Piolink will provide information security consulting, a web application firewall, and remote security monitoring services under the program. Information security consulting diagnoses a corporation's security status, analyzes vulnerabilities, and proposes improvements, while the web application firewall detects and blocks attacks targeting web applications and APIs. The remote security monitoring service provides 24/7 monitoring of security events and supports analysis and response when signs of anomalies occur.
Small and medium-sized enterprises selected for the program can receive government support for up to 80% of the adoption expense. The company expected this would reduce the burden of security investment while enabling the establishment of a professional information security framework and a stable security operations environment.
A Piolink official said, "Recently, all corporations, regardless of size, have become targets of cyber threats, and improving the information security level of small and medium-sized enterprises is more important than anything else," adding, "Through this program, we will actively support small and medium-sized enterprises in the Honam region in building a reliable security framework at a reasonable expense and responding effectively to cyber threats."
