Open-ear earphone brand Shokz said on the 2nd that it has released new ear-clip models, "OpenDots 2" and "OpenDots Air," in Korea.
As the open-ear earphone market, which has grown around fitness products, expands into everyday uses such as commuting, work, and rest, the company unveiled a flagship model and a daily model together.
OpenDots 2 is the premium product in Shokz's ear-clip lineup. It features "Shokz Bassphere 2.0," which enhances bass expression, and "Shokz MirrorPitch" technology, which precisely directs sound toward the ear. It also supports Dolby Audio to improve a sense of space and clarity when listening to music and watching videos.
The fit has also been improved. Each earbud weighs 6.4g, and a flexible structure based on nickel-titanium and a silicone cushion allow a stable fit tailored to the shape of the ear. A bone-conduction microphone, dual air-conduction microphones, and AI noise reduction technology also enhance currency quality.
OpenDots Air, launched alongside, targets everyday use. Each side weighs 6.3g, and it applies balanced sound tuning and "Shokz DirectPitch" technology to reduce sound leakage. Battery life is up to 40 hours for OpenDots 2 with the charging case and up to 36 hours for OpenDots Air. Prices are 299,000 won for OpenDots 2 and 199,000 won for OpenDots Air.
